 The Story of Every WoMan

It all started when Duryodhana and his brothers took possession of Draupadi,

You see her in every woman, who does not have a right over her own body,

They ordered to disrobe her publicly,

Draupadi the chaste and devoted wife of the Pandavas was asked to be disrobed insultingly. 

Today when a woman walks on the streets,

People around judge her for her clothes as if she will be the next press release,

From looking at the way the hair is draped to looking at the length of the skirt,

If the length is too small they feel it is a red alert.

For every girl who wishes not to be talked to for her insecurities,

And for the body she faces emotional impurities,

Comparison is the thief of joy, 

But they still do it as if the girl is going on the catalogue for another boy.

It all started when Arjuna was on the battle field,

He was standing against his family with weapons and a shield,

He felt limbs of his body quivering and his mouth drying up,

Because he was soft-hearted and not a coward who needed a backup.

This is a story of every man who is taught to be greedy and violent,

While he is supposed to handle matters by being wise and silent,

They call it masculinity,

But he can’t be called masculine without he having compassion and affinity.

No man ever sank under the burden of the day,

Struggling like a slave, well thats the price of being a man he has to pay,

A man is a person who stands for gender parity,

A man with courage makes the majority.
